who and What
needs to change?
CONSUMERS - Exposure to harmful chemicals in clothing can be absorbed through the skin and even bio-accumulate in our bodies.
ENVIRONMENT - Hazardous wastewater from factories flows into rivers, streams, and other groundwater sources, which pollutes and contaminates community drinking water.
LOCAL COMMUNITIES - Communities around the manufacturing facilities and farms are impacted through exposure to polluted drinking water as well as when chemicals enter their food chain.
GARMENT WORKERS AND FARMERS - The people who make our clothing and grow our cotton often suffer the most as a result of daily exposure to harmful chemicals, pesticides and herbicides.
